IRS and Electronic Services

The IRS is rapidly expanding the electronic services it provides to both individual and corporate taxpayers.

It is forming new "partnerships" with private sector companies to broaden the range of its electronic services. IRS e-file partners now include major companies such as Intuit, H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt. There is a growing number of smaller firms providing specialty services also.

For a list of the IRS's partners, descriptions of their services, and a directory that can help locate a partner near you, visit the "IRS e-file Partnerships" page on its Web site at www.irs.ustreas.gov/prod/elec_svs/partners.html.

The IRS is also soliciting new partners who can help expand its electronic services.
